Is there are relationship between learning and Music? I emailed an expert on the subject late Rev. Dr. Arthur W. Harvey. He was a kind professor, who pointed me in the right direction. He said to look at:
1. Eric Jensen's books and web site the Brain Store.
2. MENC's links dealing with music and the brain
3. AMC and NAMM s web sites and links that dealing with music and learning
4. Mozart Effect web site that also has many links to music and learning
5. Google Scholar search engine and specific topic you want resources for
I emailed Dr. Harvey because I read his article An Intelligence View of Music Education. this expert from the University of Hawaii at Manoa;Music Department; Coodinator of Music Education
I am working on a paper on how music makes you
learn. Specifically I am trying to see how it makes you learn, and if there is a difference among people learning with music and how
to apply music learning to real life situations.

For instance, imagine a student learning a subject with Mozart
playing in the background. According to research they will retain
information longer but not permanently. Does the subject matter in the retention of information or does the individual persons
(concentration, mood, IQ,) play a major role in this?
